Gatwick Airport to Knightsbridge, via the M23 and M25.

Gatwick to Knightsbridge is about 39 miles and around 69 minutes. Knightsbridge sits just west of the Congestion Charge boundary at Park Lane and Grosvenor Place, so most addresses here fall outside the zone. Fixed fare quoted here, or call +44 20 8050 9020.

The Gatwick to Knightsbridge route

The M23 north to the M25, west to junction 10, then the A3 through Wandsworth, over the river and west along the south side of Hyde Park. Roughly 39 miles and about 69 minutes. Coming in from the south and west means you approach Knightsbridge without crossing the busiest central streets, which is why it runs a little quicker than Mayfair despite being a similar distance.

What tends to affect the time

Hyde Park Corner

Every approach from the east funnels through it, and it is slow through the afternoon.

Brompton Road

The stretch past Harrods is busy most of the day and heavily so in the run-up to Christmas.

Sloane Street

Narrow, one-way in places and often congested with deliveries.

M25 junctions 7 to 10

The usual variability earlier in the journey.

Where we meet you at Gatwick

North Terminal

Driver in arrivals by the baggage reclaim exit with a name board. Meet and greet is an optional extra; without it your driver calls you once you've landed to agree a pickup point.

South Terminal

The same, in the ground floor arrivals concourse.

Flight tracking

A delay moves your pickup rather than losing the booking.

Free waiting

60 minutes included from landing.

Charges and dropping off

The Congestion Charge zone boundary runs along Park Lane and Grosvenor Place, and Knightsbridge lies to the west of it, so the charge does not normally apply. Because a few addresses sit very close to that line, we confirm it against your exact destination when we quote rather than guessing. Whatever charges apply on your route, the Congestion Charge included, they are already inside the fixed fare we quote you. You never pay them separately to the driver.

Hotels

The larger Knightsbridge hotels have forecourts or door staff who manage set-down, which makes arriving with luggage simple.

Harrods and the department stores

Brompton Road has loading restrictions through the day, so your driver may use Hans Crescent or Basil Street.

Sloane Street and the squares

Residents' parking throughout. Set-down is fine, waiting is not.

Embassies and private addresses

Give us the door number; several streets here have restricted stopping for security reasons.

Meeting your driver at Gatwick

Your driver tracks the inbound flight, so a delay on the runway does not cost you the car. Arrival time is taken from the moment the aircraft lands rather than the time printed on the ticket, and waiting time is included while you clear immigration and collect bags.

North and South Terminal

Tell us the terminal when you book and the driver meets you in the arrivals hall by the exit from baggage reclaim, holding a name board. If you land at one terminal and your booking says the other, the shuttle between the two runs around the clock and takes a few minutes, but it is simpler to send us a quick message so the driver moves to meet you.

If plans change in the air

Diversions, missed connections and cancelled flights happen. Call the office as soon as you have signal and we will rebook the pick-up rather than treating it as a no-show. For very late landings the car is still held, because the driver is watching the flight rather than the clock.

Congestion Charge, ULEZ and where the car can stop

Central London destinations sit inside the Congestion Charge zone and the Ultra Low Emission Zone. Our vehicles meet the emissions standard, and any charge that applies to your journey is worked into the fare when you book, so nothing is added afterwards and you are not asked to settle it at the kerb.

Stopping at the door

The bigger practical constraint is not the charge but the kerb. Many central streets have red routes, loading bays or timed restrictions where a car cannot pause, even briefly, and the rules change through the day. Drivers know the workable stopping points, but on some addresses the drop-off is a few steps from the entrance rather than directly outside it.

Give us the building, not the postcode

A postcode in central London can cover a long stretch of street. The name of the hotel, the office or the building gets you to the right door; the postcode alone often gets you to the middle of the block.

Arriving in Knightsbridge

Knightsbridge runs from Hyde Park Corner west towards Brompton Road, and the traffic along it is slow for most of the day. Around Harrods and the department stores the kerb is heavily restricted, and in the run-up to Christmas the whole stretch can be at walking pace.

Hotels, embassies and the museums

Several of the hotels here have their own forecourt, which makes the drop-off straightforward. Addresses on the residential squares south of Brompton Road are a different matter, with permit-only bays and limited turning space. Give the building name and the driver will plan the approach rather than circling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not separately, no. Any charge that applies to your journey is already inside the fixed fare we quote, so there is nothing to settle with the driver. For reference, the zone boundary runs along Park Lane and Grosvenor Place and Knightsbridge is west of it. A handful of addresses sit close to the line, so we confirm against your exact destination when we quote.

About 69 minutes for roughly 39 miles by the M25 and A3. Allow more in the weekday evening peak, when Hyde Park Corner and Brompton Road are slowest.

Brompton Road has loading restrictions for much of the day, so your driver will normally use Hans Crescent or Basil Street, both around the corner.

We track it and move the pickup to your actual landing time. The first 60 minutes of waiting are free, then 20 pounds an hour pro rata.

On a hotel forecourt yes. On the street it is set-down only, so arrange any wait with us in advance.

It is walkable, but for the V and A, the Natural History Museum or the Science Museum, book Kensington instead and we will set you down on Cromwell Road.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice to be eligible for a refund, and refunds are subject to a £7 or 10% administration fee, whichever is higher. No refund is issued where notice is under 24 hours, or where the passenger does not show up. To cancel, email or call us and wait for written confirmation; until you have that, the booking still stands.
