From the harbour the route out is the A299 Thanet Way, running west past Herne Bay and Whitstable to meet the M2 near Faversham. From there you either follow the M2 and M20 towards the Dartford Crossing and the M25, or stay on the M2 and A2 into south east London. Heading south instead, the A256 drops down to Sandwich, Deal and Dover in well under half an hour, which makes the cruise terminal one of the easiest runs on this page.
Gatwick is usually a little under two hours when the roads behave, and noticeably more on a Friday afternoon. Heathrow adds twenty to thirty minutes on top, since you continue round the M25 past the M23 and M4 junctions. London City is the quickest airport at roughly an hour and three quarters. We set the pickup from the actual day and hour rather than an average, and on early departures that usually means leaving Thanet before the M2 fills up.
