North is the strength of this location. The A1 runs from Islington to the M25 and on to Luton; the M11 is reached by the A12 or the North Circular for Stansted. Neither crosses the centre, and both are steadier through the morning than anything heading west.
Heathrow is the harder one: either the Euston Road and the A40 Westway, or south through the West End to the A4 — an hour on a good day and half as long again on a bad one. London City is a short run east and usually the quickest airport from here.
The local point worth making is that King's Cross and St Pancras are two separate stations with different approaches. Pancras Road, Euston Road and York Way all behave differently, and the Eurostar arrivals exit is not where the domestic platforms let out.
