Gatwick is the easy one: south through Kennington and Brixton on the A23, then Streatham, Croydon and the M23 — around the hour, and no bridge to cross. Heathrow is west either along the Embankment and the A4, or over Vauxhall and along the A3 and A316 through Richmond; the choice depends on the hour and the driver will make it on the day.
London City is a short run east along the south bank and through the Rotherhithe or Blackwall tunnel, usually the quickest airport from here. Luton and Stansted both mean crossing the river and heading north, and both take longer from Waterloo than from most central districts.
Locally, the roads around the station — Waterloo Road, York Road and the IMAX roundabout — are busy at every hour and stopping is difficult. We normally agree a pickup on a nearby side street or at a named hotel entrance rather than at the station itself.
