Stratford-upon-Avon draws visitors from everywhere, which means a steady stream of journeys between the town and every airport in the country. It also means a lot of those journeys are made by people who do not know the roads — and the roads here are the awkward part, because the M40 is a few miles out and the last stretch is all A-road.

We run fixed-fare transfers to and from Stratford around the clock. The fare is agreed before you book, your flight is tracked, and any tolls or charges on the route are already included.

Why choose Minicabees for Stratford transfers?

Most Stratford airport journeys are long, and long journeys are where meters and vague quotes cause trouble. We fix the fare and the vehicle before you book, so the only variable left is the traffic — and that is our problem, not yours.

One fixed fare per vehicle, agreed in advance and unchanged afterwards

Flights tracked automatically, so delays and early landings move the pickup at no extra charge

London emission zones, tolls and airport entry charges all included in the quoted price

Saloons, estates, MPVs and eight-seaters, matched to the luggage you tell us about

Licensed private hire drivers who know the A46, the A439 and the town centre one-way system

Twenty-four hour booking, and a real phone number when plans change

Taxi from Stratford-upon-Avon route details

The town is not on a motorway, which is the first thing to plan around. The A46 runs north east to join the M40 at junction fifteen, and the A439 and A422 feed in from the west and east. Once you are on the M40 the drive south is fast and dull as far as Oxford, busier from there to High Wycombe, and then decided entirely by the M25 at junction sixteen.
Birmingham Airport is the other direction — the A46 to the M42, then the A45 — and generally forty to fifty minutes. It is close enough that many Stratford travellers fly from there by default, and it is the one airport where a delayed flight does not turn into a two-hour drive home.
The local complication is the town itself. On a summer weekend, a matinee day at the theatre, or during the Mop Fair in October, the roads round Bridge Street, Waterside and the river crossings slow to a crawl. We allow for that in the pickup time rather than in the fare.

Airport pickups on the return

Standard pickup

Your driver waits in the short-stay car park and calls or messages once you are through arrivals. The cheaper option and a simple one at Birmingham, where the walk from arrivals is short.

Meet-and-greet inside the terminal

Your driver parks and waits in arrivals with a name board, then walks you to the car and takes the bags. Worth the extra when you are arriving from abroad into an unfamiliar airport, travelling with children, or facing a two-hour drive north. Add it at the time of booking.

Flight monitoring on every Stratford airport taxi

Give us the flight number and we watch it. Land early and the car is already there; get delayed and the pickup simply moves, with nothing extra to pay for the wait. The first hour after landing is included as standard.

Stratford-upon-Avon taxi price guide

Fares are quoted per vehicle before you commit, from the real distance between your two postcodes and the size of car you need. No meter, no per-passenger pricing, nothing added afterwards — tolls, emission zones, airport entry and the first hour of waiting are all inside the number you agree.

Around Stratford and south Warwickshire

We cover Stratford itself along with Shottery, Tiddington, Bishopton, Alveston, Wilmcote, Bidford-on-Avon and out towards Alcester and Wellesbourne. Regular pickups are the hotels along Waterside and Chapel Street, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford Hospital and the guest houses on the Evesham and Banbury roads. Visitors arriving for a run of performances often book the airport transfer and the return together, which is the easiest way to do it.
