Getting out west and east

Heathrow is west along Piccadilly to Hyde Park Corner and then either Knightsbridge and the Cromwell Road, or Park Lane and the A40 — the driver picks on the hour. Gatwick heads south over the river to the A23. London City is the run east along the Embankment or through the City.
Piccadilly itself is one-way eastbound for most of its length, which means a car coming to collect you often has to approach from a particular direction. That is why the meeting point matters here more than the route does.
