Peterborough sits on the edge of the Fens where the A1 crosses the A47, with the East Coast Main Line running through the middle of it. The roads out are good in every direction, which is fortunate, because the nearest sizeable airport is an hour away and the busiest ones are further still.

We run fixed-fare transfers to and from Peterborough around the clock. The price is agreed before you book, your flight is tracked, and any tolls or charges on the route are already inside the fare.

Taxi from Peterborough route details

South on the A1 is the default. For Stansted most drivers leave it at Alconbury for the A14 and drop onto the M11 at Cambridge; for Luton it is the A1 to Baldock and across on the A505, or the A14 and M1 depending on the hour. Both are about an hour and a quarter.
Heathrow and Gatwick mean continuing down the A1 to the M25 at junction twenty-three and then round — clockwise for Heathrow, further round for Gatwick. The A1 through Hertfordshire and the M25 junction are where the variability lives; north of Sandy the road is generally quick at any hour.
One genuinely local factor: the fen roads east and north of the city can be badly affected by fog on autumn and winter mornings, and a pickup from out that way in January deserves a little more time than the map suggests. Where a route enters a London charging zone or uses a toll, the cost is already in your fare.

Airport pickups on the return

Standard pickup

Your driver waits in the short-stay car park and calls or messages once you are through arrivals. The cheaper option, and easy at Stansted and Luton where the car parks are close to the terminals.

Meet-and-greet inside the terminal

Your driver parks and waits in arrivals with a name board, then walks you to the car and takes the luggage. Worth the extra with children, heavy bags, or a late landing with a long drive north still ahead. Add it when you book.

Flight monitoring on every Peterborough airport taxi

Give us the flight number and we watch it. An early landing means the car is already there; a delay moves the pickup, with nothing extra to pay for the wait. The first hour after landing is included as standard.

Peterborough taxi price guide

Every fare is quoted per vehicle before you commit, from the real distance between your two postcodes and the vehicle you need. No meter, no per-passenger pricing and nothing added later: tolls, emission zones, airport entry and the first hour of waiting are all inside the number you agree.

Around Peterborough

We cover the city along with Orton, Werrington, Bretton, Hampton, Stanground, Paston, Yaxley, Whittlesey, Market Deeping and out towards Stamford and Oundle. Regular pickups are Peterborough station, Peterborough City Hospital on Bretton Gate, the cathedral and city centre hotels, and the business parks out at Lynch Wood and Alwalton. The train to King's Cross is under an hour, which makes London easy and airports no easier at all — that gap is most of what we are booked for here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Any toll on your route, London emission zone charges and airport entry fees are all inside the fare you are quoted. Nothing is added afterwards.

Tell us the number of passengers and the number of cases and we send a car that fits — saloon, estate, MPV or eight-seater. On the longer runs it is worth being accurate about luggage rather than just headcount.

Around 65 miles by road, usually an hour and a quarter via the A1, A14 and M11. It is the most straightforward airport run from the city.

Typically about two hours for the 95 miles, down the A1 to the M25 at junction twenty-three and round. The M25 section is the main variable.

Yes. Give us the flight number when you book and we track it, so an early landing or a delay moves the pickup automatically at no extra charge.

Yes. We pick up across Peterborough and the surrounding area, including Orton, Werrington, Bretton, Hampton, Stanground, Yaxley, Whittlesey, Market Deeping and out towards Stamford, on the same fixed-fare basis.

Fog on the fen roads is a real factor in autumn and winter, and we allow extra time for pickups out that way rather than assuming the usual timings. It does not change the fare.
