Dover has both, in different places. The ferry terminal is the one off the A20 with the vehicle lanes; the cruise terminals sit at the Western Docks around the old Marine Station. Tell us your ship and cruise line so your driver goes to the right entrance.

The Luton to Dover route

South on the M1 to the M25, anticlockwise round the eastern side of London and over the Dartford Crossing, then the M20 and A20 down to Dover. Around 115 miles and about 143 minutes.

The Dartford Crossing and Operation Brock

Two things specific to this route. The first is the Dartford Crossing, which carries a charge for every vehicle between 6am and 10pm every day including weekends and bank holidays. It is 3.50 pounds for a car paid as a one-off, or 2.80 pounds on a pre-pay account, and it must be paid by midnight the day after crossing. Where it applies to your journey it is included in the fixed fare we quote, so there is nothing for you to arrange.
The second is Operation Brock, the contraflow system used on the M20 when cross-Channel freight backs up. When it is running, journeys through Kent take considerably longer, and it can be introduced at short notice.

Timing your arrival
