Getting to ExCeL by road

The venue is reached from the A1020 Royal Docks Road and the A13, with the A406 North Circular feeding in from the north. Coming from south of the river, the Blackwall or Silvertown tunnel is the crossing, and both are tolled — the toll is in your fare.

When a major show is on, the approach roads, the car parks and the drop-off points all fill, and a journey that takes twenty minutes on a quiet Tuesday can take an hour on the opening morning of a big exhibition. ExCeL is long — more than half a mile end to end — and the eastern and western entrances are a genuine walk apart.
