Covent Garden is the theatre district, a piazza surrounded by pedestrianised streets and a grid of narrow one-ways that mostly do not let you stop. It is a wonderful place to be on foot and a difficult one to be collected from, which is precisely why the pickup point matters more here than the route does.

We run fixed-fare transfers to and from Covent Garden around the clock. The fare is agreed before you book, your flight is tracked, and the Congestion Charge and emission zone are already inside it.

Why choose Minicabees for Covent Garden transfers?

The thing that goes wrong here is not the drive, it is the meeting. Half the streets are pedestrianised, the rest are one-way and full, and a driver who does not know the area will spend ten minutes going round the block. We agree the point in advance.

One fixed fare per vehicle, agreed before you book and unchanged afterwards

Congestion Charge and Ultra Low Emission Zone included, not added at the end

Flights tracked automatically, so delays and early landings move the pickup at no extra charge

Saloons, estates, MPVs and eight-seaters, matched to the luggage you tell us about

Licensed private hire drivers who know which of these streets a car can stop on and which it cannot

Twenty-four hour booking, including after the theatres come out

Taxi from Covent Garden route details

West to Heathrow the route is the Strand and the Embankment, or Piccadilly and the Cromwell Road, joining the A4 and M4. Fifty minutes early in the morning is realistic; an hour and a half at half past five is equally realistic, and we time the pickup to the hour rather than the mileage.
London City is a short run east along the Embankment and through the Limehouse Link, and it is the quickest airport from here by a clear margin. Gatwick means crossing at Waterloo or Blackfriars Bridge and heading down the A23.
The area itself is the real constraint. The piazza, Neal Street, Floral Street and much of the surrounding grid are pedestrianised or access-only. Practical pickup points tend to be on the Strand, Aldwych, Kingsway, Wellington Street or Long Acre, and we will suggest the nearest one that works for your address.

Theatre and hotel pickups

Theatre work is a significant part of what we do here, and the pattern is predictable: every show in the West End empties within about twenty minutes of each other, and the surrounding streets stop moving. For a post-show pickup we set a meeting point a street or two from the theatre and a time that allows for the crowd. Hotel collections around the Strand, Aldwych and Long Acre are straightforward — give us the hotel name at booking.

Flight monitoring on every Covent Garden airport taxi

Give us the flight number and we watch it. Land early and the car is already there; get delayed and the pickup moves, with nothing extra to pay for the wait. The first hour after landing is included as standard.

Covent Garden taxi price guide

Fares are quoted per vehicle before you commit, from the real distance between your two postcodes and the vehicle you need. No meter and no per-passenger pricing. The Congestion Charge, emission zone, any toll, airport entry and the first hour of waiting are all inside the number you agree.
