Canary Wharf is three miles from London City Airport and about twenty from Heathrow, which makes it one of the more lopsided places in London for air travel: one airport is essentially next door, and the rest are a proper drive across town.

We run fixed-fare transfers to and from Canary Wharf around the clock. The fare is agreed before you book, your flight is tracked, and the tunnel tolls and emission zone are already inside it.

Why choose Minicabees for Canary Wharf transfers?

Most of the work here is corporate and time-sensitive, and the two things that ruin it are a fare that moves and a car that cannot be found. We fix the first at booking and manage the second with a driver who knows the estate.

One fixed fare per vehicle, agreed before you book and unchanged afterwards

Blackwall and Silvertown tunnel tolls and the Ultra Low Emission Zone included in the price

Flights tracked automatically, so delays and early landings move the pickup at no extra charge

Saloons, estates, MPVs and eight-seaters, matched to the luggage you tell us about

Licensed private hire drivers who know the estate's pickup points and which tower entrance is which

Twenty-four hour booking, and a real phone number when plans change

Taxi from Canary Wharf route details

London City is a short run north east through the Royal Docks, and it is genuinely fifteen to twenty minutes at almost any hour. That proximity is why so many Canary Wharf travellers use it in preference to a bigger airport with more destinations.
Going west, the route is the Limehouse Link and the Embankment, or the A13 and the north side of the City, and from there the A4 and M4 to Heathrow. It is the length of London and the hour decides everything: before seven in the morning it is an hour, in the evening peak it can be nearly two. Gatwick and Stansted both leave the wharf in a different direction — south through the Blackwall or Silvertown tunnel for one, north east on the A12 for the other.
The tunnels are worth a note. Both are tolled, both are covered by your fare, and the choice between them is made on the day rather than fixed in advance.

Office and tower pickups

The estate is easy to get to and easy to get lost in. Give us the building — One Canada Square, Churchill Place, Bank Street, Heron Quays, Wood Wharf — and the driver will use the right pickup point rather than circling. For very early corporate runs we confirm the exact meeting spot the night before.

Flight monitoring on every Canary Wharf airport taxi

Give us the flight number and we watch it. Land early and the car is already there; get delayed and the pickup moves, with nothing extra to pay for the wait. The first hour after landing is included as standard.

Canary Wharf taxi price guide

Fares are quoted per vehicle before you commit, from the real distance between your two postcodes and the vehicle you need. No meter and no per-passenger pricing. Tunnel tolls, the emission zone, airport entry and the first hour of waiting are all inside the number you agree.
Enter your pickup and destination in the form on this page to see the fare for your own journey.

Around Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs

We cover Canary Wharf along with Heron Quays, South Quay, Millwall, Cubitt Town, Blackwall, Poplar, Limehouse, Wapping and across to Greenwich and the Royal Docks. Regular pickups are the towers and their hotels, the residential blocks along the dock edges, ExCeL for conference travel, and the O2 at Greenwich. Corporate accounts make up a large share of the work, including the run to London City for an early flight to the continent.

About 22 miles, but the time varies widely — roughly an hour before the morning peak and up to an hour and three quarters in the evening. We set the pickup from the hour, not the distance.

Whichever you tell us. Give us the building at booking — One Canada Square, Churchill Place, Bank Street, Heron Quays, Wood Wharf — and the driver will go to the right pickup point rather than circling the estate.

Yes. Give us the flight number when you book and we track it, so an early landing or a delay moves the pickup automatically at no extra charge.

Yes. Both are short local runs and we do them regularly, including for conferences and events when the surrounding roads are busy. Tell us the hall or entrance when you book.

Yes. Repeat corporate work from the estate is a steady part of what we do, including very early departures. For those we confirm the exact meeting point the night before.
