Cambridge has the useful advantage of sitting close to Stansted — near enough that a transfer there is a short, predictable job rather than a cross-country expedition. Everything else is further away, and the M11 decides how long it takes.

We run fixed-fare Cambridge transfers around the clock, with the fare agreed before you book and no additions afterwards.

Airport transfers from Cambridge

Stansted is the obvious one and the one we do most: a straight run down the M11 that usually takes about forty minutes. The others are longer but still routine.

Pickups anywhere in Cambridge

We collect from the colleges, the hotels on Regent Street and Hills Road, and the residential areas in Chesterton, Cherry Hinton, Trumpington, Newnham and Arbury. For the historic centre we agree a workable pickup point in advance — the core is heavily restricted, with bus gates and bollards that do not care how early your flight is.
The Biomedical Campus is a regular destination in its own right: Addenbrooke's, Royal Papworth and the research institutes around them. So is the Science Park in the north of the city and the business parks out towards Cambourne.

Local journeys around Cambridge

Fixed-fare local work runs to Ely, Newmarket, Royston, St Ives, Huntingdon and Saffron Walden, along with Duxford, Anglesey Abbey and the Newmarket racecourses. Station transfers cover both Cambridge and Cambridge North.

Roads in and out of Cambridge

The M11 is the spine, running south to Stansted and London and north to the A14. The A14 takes you west towards Huntingdon and the Midlands and east to Newmarket and the coast; it is also the road most likely to cost you time, particularly around the Girton interchange. The A428 and A1303 handle the western approaches.
Inside the city, the park and ride sites and the restricted centre shape every pickup. We plan around them rather than discovering them on the day.

What is included in the fare

One fixed price per vehicle, set from the real distance between your two postcodes. Tolls, any access or emission charges, airport entry and the first hour of waiting after landing are all included. No meter, no per-head pricing, nothing added at the end.

Frequently Asked Questions

We charge a fixed fare for every Cambridge taxi journey. You see the total price before you book, with no meter running and no hidden extras. Parking, tolls and congestion charges are included in the quoted price.

Usually 35 to 50 minutes down the M11 for about 30 miles. It is one of the most predictable airport runs we do, though we still build in margin for the early morning departures.

Yes, but we will agree a specific point when you book. Central Cambridge has bus gates and bollards that make some addresses unreachable by car, so choosing the corner in advance saves time.

Yes, including Royal Papworth and the research institutes on the site. Tell us the building when you book — the campus is large and the right entrance matters.

Stansted by a wide margin. For central London flights, London City is often faster than Heathrow or Gatwick outside the rush hour, despite being further than Stansted.

Yes, both Cambridge and Cambridge North, in either direction, at any hour.

Sometimes, depending on the vehicle — tell us what you are bringing when you book rather than on the day, and we will send something that fits.
